Oman's Foreign Ministry has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Omani national Nadhira bint Ahmed Al Harthy. She tragically lost her life in an avalanche in Pakistan.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses its profound sorrow over the death of the Omani national Nadhira bint Ahmed Al Harthy, who lost her life in a tragic avalanche in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

A spokesperson for the Ministry's Consular Department confirmed that coordination is underway with Pakistani authorities to repatriate Al Harthy's body to the Sultanate of Oman. The ministry took the opportunity to honor Al Harthy's significant contributions to strengthening humanitarian and cultural ties between Oman and Nepal.

In her capacity as Chairperson of the Oman-Nepal Friendship Association, Al Harthy played a crucial role in promoting community initiatives and fostering friendship and cooperation between the two nations. The Foreign Ministry commended her dedication and distinguished efforts, noting the lasting impact of her work in building closer people-to-people connections and advancing cultural exchange.

Coordination is currently underway with the relevant Pakistani authorities to complete the necessary procedures for repatriating Al Harthy's body to the Sultanate of Oman.

The Ministry extended its sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to Al Harthy's family, praying for her eternal peace and for strength and solace for her loved ones during this difficult time.
