Oman summons Iranian Ambassador over drone strikes in Musandam, Al Wusta

The Sultanate of Oman summoned Iran's Ambassador Mousa Farhang to formally protest recent drone strikes targeting sites in the Musandam and Al Wusta governorates. The Iranian diplomat was received by Sheikh Khalid bin Hashil Al Musalhi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Administrative and Financial Affairs, in Muscat.

During the meeting, Sheikh Al Musalhi conveyed Oman's "profound dismay" over the "irresponsible acts." He emphasized the critical importance of adhering to the principles of state sovereignty, good neighborliness, and non-interference in internal affairs. The Undersecretary also stressed the need to respect established norms and moral principles governing relations between the two neighboring countries.

The formal protest highlights growing concerns within Oman regarding regional security and the potential spillover of conflicts.
