Omoda and Jaecoo cut prices by up to 150 million dong, putting some SUVs below 500 million

Omoda and Jaecoo are cutting prices across their Vietnam lineup this September, with some SUV models now priced below 500 million dong. The offers cover petrol cars as well as hybrid, plug-in hybrid and fully electric models.

The newest name in the promotion is the Jaecoo J5, a B+ SUV launched in Vietnam in August. Unlike the C5 and J7, the J5 comes with three powertrain options: petrol, hybrid and electric. Buyers receive fuel or charging support depending on the version. Prices start at 499 million dong after incentives, while the electric model gets a discount of up to 150 million dong from its listed price. Its transaction price falls below 500 million dong, putting it close to entry-level SUVs such as the Hyundai Venue, which starts at 499 million dong, and the Toyota Raize, priced from 510 million dong.

The Omoda C5 remains the brand's cheapest model, with prices starting at 459.1 million dong after discounts of 49 million to 80 million dong, depending on the version. September buyers can receive fuel-cost support equivalent to as much as five years, while some versions also offer 8% interest support during the first 12 months. The electrified C5 SHS-H starts at 619 million dong for the Premium version and 669 million dong for the Flagship. Its fuel-cost support lasts up to eight years, the longest period in the company's September program.

Jaecoo is also discounting the J7. The Flagship starts at 709 million dong and comes with fuel-cost support equivalent to five years plus 8% interest support for the first year. Buyers who decline the financial package can instead receive gifts worth 20 million dong, including one year of vehicle insurance and window film. The J7 AWD Individual starts at 779 million dong, while the plug-in hybrid J7 SHS-P Flagship starts at 879 million dong and includes seven years of fuel-cost support, first-year interest support and gifts worth 45 million dong. The package includes a portable charger, a T-BOX for remote vehicle connectivity, one year of vehicle insurance and window film.

The promotions come as Chinese car brands increase their presence in Vietnam. Omoda and Jaecoo cited figures showing that 9,543 Chinese-made cars were registered in the first half of 2026, up nearly 21% from the comparable period.
