Ondo APC women pledge 500,000 votes for Tinubu’s re-election

Women in Ondo State, Nigeria, affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), have committed to securing 500,000 votes for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in the 2027 general election. This pledge was made during a rally in Akure, the state capital, where hundreds of women gathered to launch grassroots mobilization efforts.

As we all know, every election is local, and that is why we stepped out to reach out to women who are canvassers and grassroots mobilisers across the entire state to come together and, with one voice, endorse and massively support His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, His Excellency Senator Kashim Shettima, for a second term.

Olamide Falana, Women Leader of the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu, stated that mobilization has already commenced across the state's 203 wards and over 1,500 polling units. She emphasized the importance of local engagement, asserting that women are key canvassers and grassroots mobilizers. The group aims to ensure widespread support for President Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, for a second term.

Women here are happy with the successes of Mr President, and they want Tinubu and Shettima to continue. They will work assiduously. I can assure you that women in Ondo State are resolute and committed to delivering massive votes for Mr President when the election comes.

Supporters at the rally expressed satisfaction with the President's performance over the past two years. Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, a former Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ondo State, highlighted that women are at the forefront of campaigning and are eager for Tinubu to continue his term. He expressed optimism that the state could deliver over one million votes, aiming to exceed their previous electoral performance.

With this grassroots reach, we will ensure that every door is knocked on, every creek is reached, and every market is visited until we secure all the votes required for Mr President to record a resounding victory in Ondo State. Ondo women will deliver at least 500,000 votes for Mr President.
