Ondo farmers’ abductors demand N100m ransom

The abduction of two farmers in Ondo State, Nigeria, has led to a demand for a N100 million ransom from the perpetrators. The victims were reportedly taken while working on their farms in the Parubber Community, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area, and forced into a nearby forest.

The kidnappers have contacted the wife of one of the victims and demanded N100m ransom. They have been pressuring the family to pay the money.

Family members of one of the victims have been contacted by the kidnappers, who are pressuring them to pay the substantial ransom. The incident has caused distress and heightened security concerns in the community.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction and initiated a comprehensive search-and-rescue operation. A joint security team, comprising police operatives, the Anti-Kidnapping Squad, Amotekun personnel, local hunters, and vigilantes, is actively working to locate and safely return the farmers. Intelligence-gathering efforts are also underway to apprehend those responsible.
