One dead, three seriously injured in Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis accident

A fatal collision on the B292 near Ravenstein has claimed the life of a 25-year-old man and left three others with serious injuries. The incident occurred Saturday evening, according to police reports.

The victim was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another car. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, but initial findings suggest the crash happened when a 53-year-old driver, attempting to turn left off the federal highway, collided with an oncoming vehicle. This second car was carrying four men, including the 25-year-old who died at the scene.

One of them, a 53-year-old, was in life-threatening danger according to the police.

One of the injured, the 53-year-old driver, was airlifted to a hospital and was reported to be in life-threatening condition. The 30-year-old driver of the second car also sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. A 20-year-old passenger in that car suffered minor injuries. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is continuing.
