One in three startups at Google’s cybersecurity forum are Israeli, organizers announce

Israel's prominent role in cybersecurity innovation is underscored by its significant representation at Google's Gemini Startup Forum: Cybersecurity. Of the 33 startups chosen globally for the event, one-third hail from Israel, with eight fully developed in the country and three led by Israeli entrepreneurs.

The forum provides a platform for these selected companies to work alongside Google's top experts, leveraging advanced AI infrastructure, language models, and cloud tools to develop new autonomous defense solutions. This initiative aims to accelerate the growth of AI-based cybersecurity firms, enabling them to tackle complex threats more effectively. Participants will gain direct access to resources from Google Cloud, Google DeepMind, and Wiz.

Israel's strong showing at the forum further solidifies its reputation as a global cybersecurity powerhouse, especially in a sector increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. This dominance is also reflected in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, where approximately 25% of its market capitalization is invested in cybersecurity companies. The selected startups specialize in areas such as AI agent management, security and vulnerability management, cloud security, data protection, and SOC automation.

Among the participating Israeli companies are Capsule Security, offering real-time protection for autonomous AI agents, and Onyx Security, which provides a central control plane for managing these agents. Alt Security utilizes AI agents for intelligence collection and risk identification, while Native and QIZ Security focus on cloud and network security, respectively. Meta Security, specializing in offensive security, uses AI to reduce false positives in existing security systems.
