One person could block the release of EU funds, but they are not to be found at home + video

János Bóka, the parliamentary group leader for Fidesz, has issued a statement regarding the release of European Union funds to Hungary. He asserted that if the current government has successfully secured these funds, then there is no reason for public apprehension. However, he stressed that if the funds have not been obtained, the government must be transparent about this fact and clearly state what further measures are required to bring them home.

Bóka directed his comments towards Péter Magyar, suggesting that Magyar should direct his efforts toward persuading Manfred Weber, the leader of the European People's Party (EPP). According to Bóka, Weber is the key figure behind a procedure intended to obstruct the release of EU funds, a procedure that was initiated even before the current government took office.

If the Tisza government has truly brought the EU funds, then there is no reason for concern, and if they have not brought them home, then they should admit this fact and indicate what further measures are needed to obtain the EU funds.
