In its latest report, the commission said the scale and systematic nature of Israeli military operations have continued, resulting in "unprecedented" death, injury, and trauma for Palestinian children. The three-member team found "reasonable grounds" to conclude that Israel's authorities and security forces "have continued to commit the crime of genocide" in Gaza. They also cited war crimes in the West Bank and crimes against humanity.

Israel, which has criticized the commission for years, slammed the new report as a "defamatory" and "libelous sham." The country accused the investigators of ignoring Hamas's actions, including attacks on Israeli children and the use of Palestinian children as human shields. The commission detailed how severe injuries, mass trauma, orphanhood, displacement, starvation, and the collapse of education and healthcare systems have "erased childhood" in Gaza. Indian judge Srinivasan Muralidhar, who chairs the inquiry, stated, "By targeting children, Israel is attacking the very capacity of the Palestinian people to exist and to determine their future."
