OOC Participates in Chefs de Mission Meeting for Riyadh 2026 Asian Games

The Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) participated in a crucial Chefs de Mission Meeting for the 6th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, scheduled to be held in Riyadh in 2026. The event took place in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from July 7 to 8, 2026, with Saeed bin Juma Al Harrasi, the Sultanate of Oman's Chef de Mission, representing the OOC.

The meeting served as a platform to review the latest organizational and technical preparations for the Games. Presentations provided comprehensive overviews of various aspects, including delegation accreditation procedures, visa arrangements, sports entry registration, arrival and departure logistics, and the operational plans for managing the competitions. The agenda also encompassed detailed discussions on the sports program, competition venues, training facilities, services within the Athletes’ Village, relations with National Olympic Committees, medical services, anti-doping initiatives, protocol arrangements, transportation, and media operations.

Attendees had dedicated sessions to address their questions and engage in bilateral meetings with the Organising Committee. These discussions focused on understanding the specific requirements of National Olympic Committees and streamlining the procedures for delegation registration and document submission via an approved online platform. The program also included essential site visits to the Athletes’ Village, training facilities, and several competition venues. These visits allowed participants to directly assess the readiness of the infrastructure and the services that will be available to the participating delegations.

The Chefs de Mission Meeting concluded with a practical workshop focused on delegation registration procedures. This session covered the meticulous process of completing member information, registering athletes and officials, issuing accreditation cards, and finalizing accommodation arrangements at the Athletes’ Village. The objective was to ensure all organizational requirements are met well in advance of the Games, facilitating a smooth experience for all involved.
