OPPO Reno16 Launches with 'Digital Bubble Mirror' and Retro Photo Features

OPPO is aiming squarely at younger demographics with its newly released Reno16 series, enlisting K-pop group BABYMONSTER as brand ambassadors. The lineup, featuring the Reno16 and Reno16 F, introduces a "digital bubble mirror" accessory that magnetically attaches to the phone. This accessory functions as a viewfinder for the main camera when taking selfies and can also serve as a portable digital photo frame. It boasts IP54 dust and water resistance but is sold separately.

The design of the "Phantom White Planet" colorway draws inspiration from celestial bodies, utilizing a 3D floating craft technique to create a stereoscopic effect on the phone's back. Photography remains a central focus, with the new POP camera offering nine built-in retro shooting styles, including Inst film, CCD, and film light leaks, allowing users to capture trendy vintage aesthetics without needing third-party apps. The upgraded AI Flash Shot 3.0 enhances brightness and adds intelligent three-stage fill lighting, adjustable via slider or AI, to improve shots in challenging indoor lighting conditions.

For social media sharing, the enhanced "Out-of-Bounds Collage 2.0" supports more directional cropping of photo subjects. The AI Dynamic Collage feature merges live and static images, allowing elements like people, buildings, and fan merchandise to break free from borders and be freely arranged. Creative touches like doodles and text can further personalize these collages. The Reno16 model is equipped with four 50-megapixel cameras, including an ultra-wide selfie lens and a 3.5x optical telephoto lens, catering to self-portraits, portraits, and long-distance photography.
