Opposition Claims Hungary Created Migration Crisis on Slovakia's Border at Fico's Request

The Slovak opposition party Demokrati has leveled serious accusations against former Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, citing statements allegedly made by Hungarian politician Péter Magyar. According to Demokrati, Magyar has confirmed that Viktor Orbán, the Hungarian Prime Minister, orchestrated an artificial migration crisis on Slovakia's border at Fico's explicit request prior to the 2023 Slovak parliamentary elections.

Jaroslav Naď, the leader of Demokrati, presented a portion of Magyar's alleged statement during a press conference. He emphasized that such behavior is unacceptable and dangerous for Slovakia, suggesting that Fico would stoop to any level to gain and retain power.
