Optical Express opens expanded clinic in Zagreb with advanced laser technology

Optical Express, a prominent international group specializing in ophthalmology and vision correction, has celebrated the grand opening of its expanded polyclinic in Zagreb. The event drew a significant gathering of guests, business partners, and esteemed ophthalmologists, highlighting the clinic's importance.

Operating in Croatia for over two decades, Optical Express is part of a vast European network comprising more than 130 clinics. This expansion in Zagreb underscores the company's commitment to providing Croatian patients with access to cutting-edge technologies and the highest standards in ophthalmic care. David Moulsdale, founder and president of the Optical Express group, attended the opening, accompanied by team members from the United Kingdom, reinforcing the strategic significance of the Croatian facility within the global network.

The expansion was driven by consistent business growth and increased demand for ophthalmic services. The existing space had become insufficient, prompting a comprehensive project to enlarge and modernize the facility. This included the creation of a new space, renovation of the existing upper floor, and the addition of a separate operating room for cataract surgeries, distinct from laser procedures, to optimize workflow and patient comfort. The investment in construction amounted to approximately €130,000, with an additional €50,000 for renovations and about €120,000 for new medical equipment and refractive units.

Notably, the Zagreb clinic has introduced the Teneo 317 Model 2 laser from Bausch + Lomb, a state-of-the-art technology for laser vision correction. Optical Express is the first clinic in Croatia to utilize this advanced laser, which promises highly precise, personalized, and minimally invasive procedures with enhanced safety and patient comfort, leading to faster recovery times.
