Osifo scores zero as Tinubu wins APC presidential primary in Osun

President Bola Tinubu overwhelmingly won the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary in Osun State, securing 100,880 votes against his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, who received zero votes. The primary election took place across all 332 wards in the state.

This impressive turnout is not only historic, but also a resounding affirmation of the confidence reposed by members of our party in the leadership, vision and Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Adegboyega Oyetola, the state collation officer, announced the results in Osogbo, describing the exercise as peaceful. He stated that the primary demonstrated the APC's commitment to democratic values, internal cohesion, transparency, and progressive governance. Oyetola noted the "impressive turnout" as a "historic" and "resounding affirmation" of the party members' confidence in President Tinubu's leadership and his "Renewed Hope Agenda."

"It reflects the deep trust and abiding belief of our members in the direction of our great party and in the transformative leadership currently being provided at the national level," Oyetola said. He added that the peaceful conduct across the thirty Local Government Areas and the Ife East Area Office testified to the party's "enduring strength and unity."

Total Accredited members for today’s presidential Primary election :100,880. His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, 100,880 votes. Mr. Stanley Osayamen Osifo, 0 votes (Zero Votes). By the powers vested in me as the Collation Officer for Osun State, I hereby declare His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as the winner of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Primary Election 2026 in Osun State."

Oyetola urged APC members to remain steadfast and united for the upcoming August 15 governorship poll, emphasizing the need for sacrifice and sustained mobilization for electoral victory. The governorship candidate for the August 15 poll, Bola Oyebamiji, also commended party members for their participation and urged them to continue working towards the party's success.
