Osimhen scores twice as Galatasaray held by newly promoted Çorum

Defending champions Galatasaray began their Süper Lig campaign with a disappointing 2-2 draw against newly promoted Çorum, despite a brace from star striker Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian forward immediately made his presence felt, scoring in the 53rd minute after being played through by Lucas Torreira. He then rescued his team in the 90th minute with a powerful header from a corner, completing his brace and leveling the score.

Galatasaray, overwhelming favorites for the title, controlled possession and created early chances. Osimhen himself came close multiple times before finally breaking the deadlock.
