Osun election: APC senator tells supporters to monitor voters' choices

Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, instructed supporters at his polling unit in Ilase-Ijesa to observe voters' choices during the Osun State governorship election. A video circulating on social media showed the All Progressives Congress chieftain addressing individuals at Polling Unit 1, NUD Primary School, which also serves as a collation center.

Speaking in Yoruba, Fadahunsi was heard telling those present to watch which candidates voters were thumbprinting for. "Be looking at who people thumbprint for. Whoever votes for who he or she is not supposed to vote for is not a true indigene of Ijesa in Ilase," he stated.

This directive follows a recent incident where Fadahunsi faced scrutiny over alleged threats against members of the Accord Party. He was subsequently invited, questioned, and released by the police earlier in the week concerning that matter. His latest comments at the polling unit occurred amidst the ongoing governorship election across Osun State.
