Osun poll: APC campaign council meeting Monday

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to convene the inaugural meeting of its National Campaign Council for the upcoming Osun governorship election. The meeting is scheduled for Monday and will be jointly presided over by Governor Hope Uzodimma, who chairs the council, and Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, serving as the secretary.

All members of the 276-strong National Campaign Council have been invited to the gathering. The meeting is slated to take place at 3 p.m. at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge, located at 30 Jose Marti Street in Asokoro, Abuja.

This planned meeting comes just one week after the APC finalized the composition of its extensive campaign council. The party is actively intensifying its efforts to wrest control of Osun State from the Accord Party in the governorship election scheduled for August 15.

The notice for the meeting was jointly issued and signed by Uzodimma and Barau in their respective capacities as chairman and secretary of the council. It explicitly states, "All members of the National Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress for the Osun State Governorship Election are invited to the meeting of the council."
