Osun poll: Okpebholo urges Edo indigenes in Osun to vote Oyebamiji

Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has called on Edo indigenes residing in Osun State to cast their votes for Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the upcoming August 15 election.

This is the man that stands for the development of this state. This is the man that will develop your schools. This man will construct your roads. He will give you roads with concrete pavement, roads that will last for 80 years and above.

Speaking at an APC campaign rally in Osogbo, Okpebholo endorsed Oyebamiji, describing him as the candidate best equipped to foster infrastructure development, enhance educational standards, and stimulate sustainable economic growth within Osun State. He assured attendees that Oyebamiji would prioritize road construction, promising concrete pavement roads designed for longevity.

The time for us to call for progress into this state is now. We can’t wait for tomorrow. This is the best man that will do the job.

Governor Okpebholo also stressed the importance of electing a leader capable of effectively utilizing resources provided by President Bola Tinubu's administration. He urged voters to support Oyebamiji to ensure these resources contribute to the state's development.

We must vote for someone who will use the resources that Mr President has made available for states to develop the states, and I call on Edo indigenes in Osun to vote for Oyebamiji.

Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo echoed this sentiment at the rally, appealing to Osun voters to back the APC. He argued that a victory for the party would signify the state's endorsement of President Tinubu's leadership and administration. Leaders from Edo and Kogi states expressed confidence that Oyebamiji could replicate the developmental successes achieved under APC governance in their respective states.
