Mudashiru Hussein, a former Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC) and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), lauded the security agencies for fostering a peaceful environment during the Osun governorship election held on Saturday.

After casting his vote at Ward 3, Unit 1, in Ejigbo, Hussein observed that the atmosphere across the town and the state was calm, enabling voters to exercise their civic rights without hindrance. He also noted the significant turnout, interpreting it as a clear sign of the electorate's commitment to their democratic duties.

Furthermore, Hussein extended his commendation to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He specifically highlighted the "timely arrival" of election materials and the efficient deployment of ad hoc staff. The former senator also praised INEC for creating an accessible voting environment for persons with disabilities, pregnant and nursing mothers, and the elderly.

Expressing his optimism for the election's outcome, Mr. Hussein stated his belief that the APC candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, would emerge victorious.
