Otti hails Osun poll, charges Adeleke to consolidate democratic gains

Abia State Governor Alex Otti has congratulated his Osun State counterpart, Ademola Adeleke, on securing a second term in office. Otti described the election as a testament to Nigeria's democratic maturity and commended the Osun people for their peaceful conduct during the polls.

Adeleke, representing the Accord Party, secured 511,067 votes to win the governorship race. His closest rival, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress, garnered 444,815 votes, while Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress trailed with 17,180 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results early Sunday.
