Otti hands over new NAF administrative complex in Abia to FG

Abia State Governor Alex Otti officially transferred a newly constructed Nigerian Air Force Administrative Complex in Umuahia to the Federal Government on Friday. The handover ceremony was attended by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Kelvin Aneke, and the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa.

Governor Otti stated that the facility underscores his administration's commitment to protecting all residents and visitors, emphasizing that security is a fundamental right. He highlighted the project as a testament to effective collaboration between federal and state governments in pursuing a shared security agenda.

For us, the right to security for our people, whether they are residents or visitors, is non-negotiable.

Air Marshal Aneke praised the governor's "unprecedented investment in national security," calling the establishment of a permanent Air Force presence in Abia a "historic milestone." He believes it will bolster security, expand operational capabilities, and stimulate socio-economic growth in the South-East region.

Minister of Defence General Musa commended Otti for his "unwavering commitment" to security through strategic investments. He urged the deployed Air Force personnel to maintain professionalism and contribute positively to the state's development, ensuring their presence makes Abia a better place.
