Our famous coach starts a new adventure, he revealed to us what he plans for the future

Marko Brezić, who served as an assistant coach for Podravka Vegeta, is embarking on a new chapter in his career. After three successful years with the Croatian club, during which they won the league championship and cup and competed in the Champions League and European League, Brezić is moving to the Faroe Islands to coach Stjarnan.

Brezić expressed his gratitude for his time at Podravka Vegeta, stating, "After three beautiful years at Podravka, I can only say the best. I achieved many successes and things I never dreamed of achieving." He specifically thanked Ivica Obrvan for bringing him into the coaching staff, noting the significant professional and personal growth he experienced.

Several opportunities were considered, including a previous unfulfilled offer from the Faroe Islands and discussions with another club. A potential move to Finnish club BK-46 did not materialize. Brezić's new role at Stjarnan particularly appeals to him because it involves more than just coaching the senior team. He will also work with youth coaches, coordinate development programs, and assist in educating and analyzing players, aligning with his interest in holistic club development.

With 33 years of experience in handball, Brezić has coached in numerous countries, including Norway, Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Qatar, Finland, and the USA. His extensive international background and passion for developing talent make him a valuable addition to Stjarnan, a club consistently among the top teams in their league.
