Over 1.2 Tons of Expired Food Seized in Bodrum

Bodrum Municipality's police teams, working alongside the District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate and Cleaning Affairs Directorate, conducted an inspection at a food business located in the Bahçelievler Mahallesi Industrial Site. The operation aimed to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

During the inspection, authorities discovered a substantial amount of food products that had passed their expiration dates. These expired goods posed a potential risk to public health.

Approximately 1.2 tons of these expired food items were seized. Following the seizure, the products were destroyed according to proper procedures. Furthermore, legal proceedings have been initiated against the business establishment under the relevant legislation. The process includes measures to cease the business's operations and seal the premises.
