Over 1-Meter Snake Found in Yangju Apartment

A resident in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, experienced a startling encounter when a snake measuring over a meter in length was found inside their apartment. The discovery prompted an immediate call to emergency services.

Firefighters responded to the scene and successfully captured the reptile. The snake was later released into a nearby river, away from residential areas. Fortunately, no one was harmed during the incident.

The resident reported that they were not keeping the snake as a pet. They discovered it while resting in their living room, noticing something unusual under a blanket. Upon lifting the blanket, they found the snake.

Evidence, including a snake's shed skin found in the bathroom, suggests the snake likely entered the apartment through the drainage pipes. Authorities believe it may have originated from a neighboring unit, adding a layer of mystery to how the creature navigated its way into the resident's home.
