Over 37,000 migrants have returned to Morocco

Spain's Interior Ministry reports that more than 37,000 of the over 50,000 migrants who entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco have since returned. Departures from Ceuta are happening rapidly, with the ministry stating a rate of 150 people per minute on Friday afternoon.

The perilous journey to reach Ceuta has resulted in significant loss of life. So far, 57 deaths have been confirmed, the majority of whom drowned while attempting to swim across the border to the enclave. This highlights the extreme dangers faced by migrants seeking to reach European territory.
