Over 8,000 Doses of Narcotics Seized in Baja California Sur; Four Arrested

Law enforcement in Baja California Sur has reported a significant bust, seizing more than 8,000 doses of narcotics and arresting four people in operations conducted over the weekend in La Paz and Los Cabos.

The state's Attorney General's office stated that the majority of the drugs seized were methamphetamine. The largest single seizure took place in the La Rinconada neighborhood of La Paz. Following a vehicle pursuit, officers discovered approximately 4,775 doses of the drug. The driver, identified as Omar 'N', 51, was also found with a scale and cash at the time of his arrest.

Further operations in Cabo San Lucas led to the arrest of three additional individuals and the seizure of 3,375 doses of methamphetamine. In the El Arenal neighborhood, agents arrested José Alberto 'N' and Mariana 'N', who are reportedly from Sinaloa and Michoacán, respectively. They were found with about 126 grams of methamphetamine, packaged in 150 small bags and two larger ones, estimated at 3,150 doses. Another man was arrested in the Ampliación Matamoros neighborhood with an amount equivalent to 225 doses.

The four detainees, along with the confiscated drugs, scales, and cash, have been handed over to the specialized Public Ministry prosecutor's office for investigation into drug trafficking.
