A significant fire erupted overnight in a warehouse at a poultry processing plant in Nyírbátor, Hungary. Firefighting units from several cities were dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze. By morning, the firefighters had managed to contain the flames, preventing further spread.

As a precautionary measure, seventy-one individuals were evacuated from the area surrounding the burning building. These residents were subsequently provided temporary accommodation at the local mayor's office.

The regional disaster management directorate reported that their mobile laboratory conducted measurements at the site. Data uploaded to their website indicated that hazardous substances exceeded their limit values within the plant's premises.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The incident highlights the potential risks associated with industrial facilities and the importance of rapid emergency response.
