Independent label Overproof Records, known for nurturing talent from western Jamaica, is pinning its hopes on rising singer Zen and his heartfelt debut single, 'Over You.' Label founder and CEO Asa “Ace” Smith believes Zen possesses the talent to transition from local buzz to national recognition.

Released on June 12, 'Over You' is an emotionally charged track that delves into the struggles of moving beyond a toxic relationship, seeking genuine love and healing. Smith expressed confidence in Zen's "great writing and incredible vocals," describing the song as "heartfelt, powerful and tells a story that a lot of people can relate to."

Born in Montego Bay and raised in St. James, Zen's musical roots are in the church choir. Initially, Zen focused on music production under the name "Alpha," gaining valuable experience in songwriting and studio techniques before transitioning to performing as Zen.
