Oyebanji Congratulates Former Governor Segun Oni on His 72nd Birthday

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has hailed former governor Segun Oni as a man of honour and a distinguished statesman on the occasion of Oni’s 72nd birthday.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, Oyebanji praised Oni’s service to Ekiti State, Nigeria and humanity. He described the former governor as a patriot, community leader and politician whose values had influenced governance both in and out of office.

Oyebanji highlighted Oni’s humility, selflessness and commitment to the welfare of ordinary people. He also credited Oni’s administration with people-oriented and welfare policies that, he said, had continued to benefit residents.

The governor said Oni’s tenure marked an important period in Ekiti’s development, particularly in workers’ welfare, infrastructure, healthcare and economic growth. He added that the former governor remained relevant to efforts to build a more prosperous Ekiti and a greater Nigeria.

“On behalf of the government and good people of Ekiti State, I felicitate our dear distinguishing leader and statesman, Chief Segun Oni and pray that God blesses his new age with good health and happiness,” Oyebanji said. He also prayed for Oni to enjoy a long life, sound health and more productive years of service to the state, the nation and humanity.
