Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State enjoys broad support across the state, with widespread backing from workers, artisans, farmers, women, and youths, according to Mary Oso-Omotosho, Director-General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Community Communication.

Oso-Omotosho asserted that the governor's achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth development, and social welfare have bolstered public confidence. She believes these accomplishments position Oyebanji for a decisive victory in the upcoming election, stating, "Ekiti people will reward the governor’s performance with another mandate in 2026." She emphasized that the support transcends party, religious, and ethnic lines.

Dismissing claims by opposition parties about gaining momentum, Oso-Omotosho described such assertions as "wishful thinking disconnected from realities on the ground." She highlighted Oyebanji's consistent focus on delivering "the dividends of democracy" rather than engaging in political distractions, which has led to positive impacts from government policies and programs.

Those talking about taking over the Government House should first assess the mood of the people.

"Opposition parties are entitled to their ambitions; they are entitled to daydreaming, but elections are won based on performance and acceptance by the electorate," Oso-Omotosho stated.
