Oyebanji praises former Ekiti governor Oni on his 72nd birthday

Ekiti Governor Biodun Oyebanji marked Segun Oni’s 72nd birthday by praising the former governor’s public service and lasting contribution to the state.

In a statement issued by his media adviser, Yinka Oyebode, Oyebanji described Oni as “a man of honour who has rendered immense service to Ekiti State, Nigeria, and humanity at large.”

The governor called Oni a distinguished statesman, patriot, community leader and politician whose record had influenced governance both in and out of office. He also praised Oni’s humility, selflessness and concern for ordinary people.

Oyebanji said people-oriented and welfare policies introduced during Oni’s tenure had stood the test of time and continued to benefit Ekiti residents. He identified workers’ welfare, infrastructure, health care and economic growth as key areas of the former administration’s contribution to the state’s development.
