Ozzy Osbourne honored with new horror attractions at Universal Studios

Universal Studios is set to unveil two new haunted houses dedicated to the legendary heavy metal musician Ozzy Osbourne, as part of its annual Halloween Horror Nights event. The attractions, named "Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness," will open in California and Florida, offering fans an immersive experience inspired by the artist's extensive solo career.

The "living horror movie" experience will transport visitors through Osbourne's 45-year journey in the music industry. The haunted houses will feature elements drawn from his iconic albums, including "Blizzard of Ozz" (1980), "Diary of a Madman" (1981), "Bark at the Moon" (1983), "No More Tears" (1991), "Scream" (2010), and "Ordinary Man" (2020). The music from these albums will guide guests through the elaborate and eccentric worlds Osbourne created.

Ozzy never stopped breaking barriers and he loved anything that offered his fans a new way to enjoy his music and the worlds he created.

Ozzy Osbourne's wife, Sharon Osbourne, and son, Jack Osbourne, jointly expressed their enthusiasm for the tribute. They highlighted Osbourne's continuous drive to break barriers and his desire to provide fans with novel ways to engage with his music and the universes he envisioned. They noted that the Universal Studios tribute comes just over a year after the musician's passing on July 22, 2025.

The California attraction will begin in Osbourne's hometown of Birmingham and traverse various facets of his career. In Orlando, visitors will journey through ancient ruins and dungeons before boarding the "Crazy Train" to worlds inspired by album covers like "The Ultimate Sin" and "Black Rain." John Murdy, executive producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, stated, "We previously had the privilege of collaborating with Ozzy, and this new haunted house is an opportunity to honor his extraordinary solo career. Inspired by his thirteen albums, attendees will journey through the dark and surreal worlds that fueled his music and cemented his legacy as the one and only Prince of Darkness."
