Pablo Moyano on brother Facundo's scandal: 'Let justice decide'

Argentine union leader Pablo Moyano has broken his silence regarding the scandal involving his brother, Facundo Moyano, who is facing charges including minor assault and unlawful imprisonment in a gender violence context. When questioned by journalists, Pablo Moyano stated, “Let justice decide. I have nothing to do with it.”

He further added, with apparent confusion, “Besides, my kid is named Facundo Moyano, I talk to my son Facundo Moyano every day.” This comment seemed to distinguish himself from his brother, with whom he has had public disagreements since early 2024.

The case centers on allegations made by Candela Arizaga, Facundo Moyano's partner. Initially, she accused him of assault, but in a subsequent statement, she retracted the physical abuse claims. Sources close to the case indicated Arizaga attributed the situation to drug consumption, stating she had hallucinations and ran from their apartment in Belgrano. Videos showed Facundo Moyano chasing Arizaga after they left their apartment.

Despite Arizaga's revised statement, an investigation is ongoing. A search of Moyano's home yielded a smartwatch, a USB drive, and medications. Pablo Moyano, who was present at a march for San Cayetano, also used the opportunity to speak against a recently approved private property law, while maintaining distance from his brother's legal troubles.
