Painted Train Boosts Jiji Line Revival, Music Fest Set for August 8

The Taiwan Railways Administration's Jiji line is experiencing a surge in popularity, with passenger numbers rising by 50% in just over a month since its resumption. This revival is significantly attributed to the introduction of a vibrant, newly painted train that has captured public attention.

To capitalize on this momentum and attract visitors, particularly for Father's Day, the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration is organizing a "Railway Music Carnival" at the Checheng Station on August 8. The event promises a diverse range of attractions, including musical performances by ensembles like the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra Youth Brass Quintet and the Tan'a Chorus, dance performances, and interactive elements.
