Panic as Eriksen collapses during Denmark friendly

According to the Danish Football Federation, Eriksen was conscious and "doing well under the current circumstances." The national team doctor, Morten Boesen, confirmed that Eriksen was briefly unconscious but quickly regained awareness. He added that the player "walked off the pitch by himself" and that his pacemaker responded as expected.

The incident has understandably sparked widespread concern, particularly given Eriksen's history. Five years prior, during Denmark's opening match at the delayed Euro 2020 tournament on June 12, 2021, Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest on the field. He required immediate CPR and was later fitted with an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD).
