Para swimmer Jenna Jones is achieving remarkable success both in the pool and in an unexpected canine partnership. She recently secured a gold medal in the women's 100 meter S13 freestyle at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, her first major individual title, ten years after her international debut.

Alongside her swimming triumphs, Jones shares a unique bond with her Australian shepherd, Luna. The duo competes in rally, a sport that tests a dog's obedience and agility alongside its handler. Jones, a two-time Paralympian, is now setting her sights on the upcoming Para Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in California. She expressed excitement about the new rookies on the team and is eager to watch them debut. Diagnosed with a rare degenerative eye disease in kindergarten, Jones credits sport with teaching her body awareness, building confidence, and fostering independence. "I'm so lucky that I got into sport at such a young age," she stated. The 25-year-old is also pursuing a diploma at university, with aspirations to complete a counseling degree, demonstrating a commitment to her future beyond competitive swimming.
