Parents urged to protect children’s health as new school year begins

As the 2026/27 school year gets under way, parents in Westmoreland are being urged to take proactive steps to protect their children’s health.

Gerald Miller, the parish’s health promotion and education officer, encouraged families to reinforce good hygiene practices, healthy eating and adequate hydration.

He also advised parents to ensure that basic medications and first-aid supplies are available at home.
