Parisian Burglar Known as "The Cat" Arrested for 10 Million Euro Heists

Paris, France – A notorious burglar, identified by the moniker "Le Chat" (The Cat), has been apprehended by Parisian authorities, bringing an end to a sophisticated crime spree that netted nearly 10 million euros. The suspect, a 34-year-old Parisian with a lengthy criminal record, is accused of orchestrating a series of high-profile burglaries, often targeting affluent residences and businesses.

"Le Chat's" alleged modus operandi is as audacious as it is effective. Police suspect he and his accomplices gained access to properties through unconventional and daring routes – scaling roofs, scaling facades, and even utilizing gutters. This acrobatic approach allowed them to bypass traditional security measures, with evidence suggesting the use of signal jammers to neutralize alarm systems. The targets included the homes of notable figures, such as footballer Thiago Silva and rapper Booba, as well as a Chinese Communist Party deputy and a luxury leather goods company.

While "Le Chat" vehemently denies any involvement in violent acts, claiming "I have never committed a robbery with violence, I have nothing to do with it," the charges against him and his alleged associates are serious. He faces charges of organized crime and theft, with one incident involving violence against the Chinese deputy resulting in injuries. Three other individuals – two alleged accomplices and a receiver of stolen goods – have also been detained.
