Democratic Party lawmaker Park Ji-won has voiced strong disagreement with author Yoo Si-min's recent characterization of President Lee Jae-myung as acting like a faction leader. Park described Yoo's statements as "excessive speculation" and expressed regret over the remarks, cautioning that they could be perceived as aiding forces seeking to destabilize the nation.

Park, speaking via Facebook, acknowledged that some of Yoo's criticisms might hold merit but emphasized his concern about how the public might interpret such statements. He urged Yoo to join in supporting President Lee's efforts to achieve "the era's spirit and the people's demand for the three major reforms to clear out internal rebellion forces," hoping for the president's success.

Earlier, Yoo Si-min appeared on MBC radio and reiterated his criticism of President Lee. Yoo argued that regardless of who becomes the next leader of the Democratic Party, that person would not be subordinate to the president. He suggested that the president is actively seeking a particular candidate to win the party's leadership election, which Yoo believes constitutes acting as a faction leader. Yoo warned that such behavior could lead to difficulties for everyone involved.

This is not the first time Yoo has expressed critical views. In previous appearances on YouTube broadcasts, Yoo had stated that the people who supported Lee's presidency had desired one outcome, but the president seemed to be pursuing another, likening it to attempting a "reconstruction" when only an "extension" was sought. He has also predicted that President Lee's choices would end in failure.
