Parliament Speaker congratulates gymnast Kovtun on European Championship gold medals

Croatian Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković extended congratulations to gymnast Ilija Kovtun for securing a gold medal in the rings at the European Gymnastics Championships held in Zagreb. This achievement marks Kovtun's second gold medal at the event, following his victory in the all-around competition earlier in the week.

Jandroković praised Kovtun's "incredible skill and exceptional mental strength," noting that these wins at his first major international competition representing Croatia underscore his talent. The Parliament Speaker emphasized the special nature of these successes, given they were accomplished before a home audience in Zagreb.

"For all of us, your successes are all the more special because you achieved them in front of the Croatian public, in a city that welcomed you with great joy and respect at your first appearance under the Croatian flag," Jandroković stated in his congratulatory message.

He also wished Kovtun good health, satisfaction, and continued success in his career. Congratulations were also extended to Kovtun's professional team and all those who supported him on his journey to these significant achievements.
