Partial closures on Bridge of the Americas on June 22 and 23

Panama City will experience partial lane closures on the Bridge of the Americas on Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23. The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) announced that these closures are required to facilitate the installation of flags on the bridge.

The work is scheduled to take place between 9:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. on both days. During these hours, two lanes heading towards Panama City will be affected to allow for the necessary equipment to be utilized. The MOP stated that the work area will be clearly marked with signage and secured by traffic safety personnel.

Motorists approaching the affected area are urged to pay close attention to the directions provided by traffic personnel and signage. A maximum speed limit of 40 km/h will be enforced in the vicinity of the work zone to ensure the safety of both the workers and the drivers.

These temporary measures are intended to allow for the flag installation to proceed efficiently while minimizing disruption to the flow of traffic as much as possible during the overnight hours.
