Parties summoned after technical fault affects advance votes

Sweden’s Election Authority is calling the parliamentary parties to a meeting after a technical fault affected thousands of advance votes. Some of the ballots may be invalidated, Sveriges Radio Ekot reports.

Mattias Bäckström Johansson, the Sweden Democrats’ party secretary, said the issue concerned confidence in the country’s electoral system.
