The meeting occurred on Friday evening as Depp prepared to perform with his band, "Hollywood Vampires." In the artist's dressing room, Büffel presented Depp with a platinum record, a testament to the success of the song that shares the actor's name. According to Büffel, Depp reacted very kindly to the gesture and accepted the award.

Büffel shared an anecdote that the "Hollywood Vampires" had listened to "Johnny Däpp" on their tour bus as they traveled to the concert venue, adding a layer of connection to the meeting. The party singer, who achieved significant sales and streaming numbers with his hit, had previously received his platinum record in 2020.
