Passenger Dies, Driver Critically Injured in Wesermarsch Accident

A severe traffic accident in the Wesermarsch district has resulted in the death of a 69-year-old passenger and life-threatening injuries to the 77-year-old driver. The incident occurred on a rural road near Golzwarden when the driver allegedly failed to notice another vehicle while changing lanes. This oversight triggered a collision, causing both cars to overturn.

The driver's vehicle was subsequently propelled into the path of oncoming traffic, where it was struck by a semi-trailer truck. Both occupants of the driver's car were trapped, and the passenger succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The driver sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.

Authorities reported that the driver of the other car involved suffered only minor injuries, while the semi-trailer truck driver remained unharmed. The road was temporarily closed for the recovery of the vehicles. Police investigations into the exact cause of the accident are ongoing.
