Paul Casey leads Omega Masters at Crans-Montana and will donate winnings to Constellation victims

Paul Casey will start the final round of the Omega Masters with a three-shot lead, but the Englishman’s potential prize money already has a destination: the victims of the Constellation disaster.

The LIV Golf player produced a 63 at Crans on Saturday, seven under par and joint-best score of the day. He reached 16 under par and built his advantage over a group of four pursuers.

Casey, who lives in Zug, played the entire round with a smile in the Valais föhn. His performance puts him among the LIV golfers who could win the Omega Masters on Sunday, even as the article places him among players whose possible return to the European or American circuits attracts little attention.

Known as “Popeye” because of the size of his biceps, Casey will now go into the final round with both the tournament lead and a stated charitable intention. He plans to pass on his winnings to those affected by the Constellation disaster.
