Peng Cheng-min inducted into Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame, sees 'great mission'

Peng Cheng-min, currently the general manager of the CTBC Brothers, has been inducted into the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame. He shares this honor with Lin Kuo-hui and Lee Lai-fa. The induction ceremony took place before a game at the Taipei Dome.

Peng expressed his deep honor at receiving this recognition from his predecessors. He specifically recalled Lee Lai-fa, who was one of his coaches during the 2004 Athens Olympics. Peng noted that Lee Lai-fa not only provided diligent coaching but also shared valuable experiences from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and introduced players to European historical sites during training.

Reflecting on the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame, which is still in its early stages compared to its American counterpart, Peng expressed his aspirations for its future growth. He hopes it will become more established and historically significant over time. Peng sees a crucial mission for the Hall of Fame in educating coaches and players about the rich history and prominent figures of Taiwanese baseball.
