People's Party Backs Ko Chih-en for Kaohsiung! Huang Kuo-chang: She Increased Kaohsiung's Allocated Funds

Taiwan People's Party Chairman Huang Kuo-chang has declared the party's unwavering support for Ko Chih-en's bid to win the mayoral election in Kaohsiung. Huang emphasized Ko's significant contributions in the legislature, citing her work on crucial legislation such as the amendment to the fiscal revenue division law, which he stated has substantially increased Kaohsiung's allocated funds.

Speaking at a judicial reform seminar in Kaohsiung's Zuoying military dependents' village, Huang addressed questions about the potential for a blue-white coalition in Kaohsiung, especially with Legislator Huang Jie set to lead the Democratic Progressive Party's Kaohsiung chapter. Huang reiterated the Taiwan People's Party's commitment to fully backing Ko Chih-en.

He further criticized Lai Jui-lung, a rival candidate, by invoking past administrations. Huang warned that if Lai, associated with the 'New Tide' faction, were to regain control of Kaohsiung City Hall, the alleged financial mismanagement that occurred under the Chen Chu administration would resurface, potentially undermining the current progress made by Mayor Chen Chi-mai. Huang praised Ko's professional and rational approach to legislative work, noting her focus on Kaohsiung's development and her role in increasing the city's fiscal allocation.
