Perez Hilton to have supervised visits with children after mother granted temporary custody

This judicial decision comes in the wake of a mental health emergency in early August, which led to Hilton's hospitalization. Reports indicate he experienced a mental health crisis at his Florida home, apparently engaging in self-harm while his children, sister, and niece were present.

Following the incident, Hilton received treatment for a suspected overdose after an alarming live broadcast on social media. He has remained hospitalized and is reportedly receiving mental health treatment. His mother, Teresita Lavandeira, subsequently petitioned the court for temporary custody of the children, a request that has now been granted.

The custody case is currently under seal to protect the minors. The new resolution establishes a middle ground, allowing Hilton to maintain contact with his children when he is deemed capable, but prohibiting him from being alone with them during the supervised period.
