Peristeri Employee Arrested for 'Directing' Theft of 11,000 Euros from Company Car

Authorities in Peristeri have arrested an employee and three other men in connection with the theft of over 11,000 euros from a company vehicle. The arrests followed an investigation by the Sub-Directorate for the Pursuit and Investigation of Crimes in Western Attica.

The incident occurred on the morning of July 13, when a 24-year-old suspect allegedly stole two envelopes containing more than 11,000 euros from a temporarily parked company car. He then fled in a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old accomplice. Police investigations indicated that the two perpetrators had planned the theft in coordination with a 38-year-old employee of the company.

The employee allegedly provided information about the transport of cash by the company's vehicles. The getaway car reportedly belonged to another 24-year-old man, who is also implicated in the case. During searches, authorities seized 2,725 euros, two mobile phones, and the vehicle used for the escape.

A case file has been submitted to the competent prosecutor regarding the four individuals, who are accused of aggravated theft and simple complicity in theft, depending on their role in the incident. The investigation also suggested the group may have been involved in stealing jewelry, watches, and money.
