Pertamina Brings New Spirit to Banyuwangi Children with School Aid

PT Pertamina, through its subsidiaries PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus, brought joy to underprivileged children in Banyuwangi with its Seragam Sekolah Bersama Pertamina (SESAMA) and Pertamina Berkah programs. On a Friday in early June 2026, the company distributed 200 educational aid packages, comprising school uniforms, shoes, and supplies, along with cash donations.

The beneficiaries are students from four foundations in East Java: Yayasan Salafiyah Syafi'iyah As'adiyah Ibrahimy, Yayasan Darussalam, Yayasan Syamsul Huda, and Yayasan Datuk Abdurrahim Bauzir. This assistance offers a renewed sense of hope for hundreds of students, enabling them to focus on their studies without placing additional financial burdens on their parents, especially with the new school year approaching.

Mochammad Iriawan, President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), highlighted the program as a demonstration of Pertamina's commitment to nurturing the nation's future generations. "Education is the key to unlocking a better future. We at Pertamina are here not only to deliver physical energy but also to deliver spirit and hope to our children in need," he stated warmly.

Following the educational aid distribution, Pertamina extended its generosity by providing donations to mosque officials and the less fortunate in the vicinity of the Integrated Terminal Tanjungwangi. This act of kindness aims to strengthen community ties. The social activities coincided with Iriawan's working visit to the terminal, ensuring its optimal operation in supplying fuel and LPG across eastern Java and surrounding areas.
